Issues with Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB RAM and AIO clearance
I encountered some problems during the upgrade process for my build and case while getting ready for the Ryzen 4000 desktop and RTX 3000 releases. [I regret any confusion about the MOBA aspect, since it seems my case might be the real issue.] While upgrading the RAM to the Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB model and installing a new iCUE H100i RGB PRO XT Liquid CPU cooler, I also changed to the iCUE 220T RGB Airflow case from Corsair. When mounting it securely at the top of the case, I noticed the RAM is too wide on the sides and lacks sufficient space for the second fan. My setup currently has a top-mounted AIO with only one fan installed (enough for the i7-7700 CPU). Before suggesting a front-mounting option, I realized the AIO doesn’t fit the length of my GTX 1080 OC. I’m not keen on changing to thinner fans. The game I’m playing is GA-Z270X-Gaming K5. My main concern is whether any X570 MOBAs have RAM slots positioned lower—closer to the PCIe slots—to accommodate more RAM. Would it be better to switch to the iCUE 220T case? I checked the specifications, but they indicate I could fit the RTX 3080 Founders Edition (pending cooling reviews). If anyone has any details about slot dimensions or positions on MOBAs that would help, that would be really useful. I searched extensively but didn’t find much beyond the dimensions listed in the specs.
