People are reporting similar problems with their Xiaomi devices where notifications trigger a generic vibration instead of the custom tactile pattern. Even WhatsApp and Instagram alerts cause the long vibration, while SMS messages and phone app calls still use the original pattern. The issue persists after upgrading from MIUI to HyperOS. Any suggestions would be helpful.

The internal vibration settings are limited to system operations. For other applications, you need to adjust the vibrations using their separate interface.

I experimented with the vibration controls in the app's menu, but they didn't function properly. In the phone settings, the only choices were to turn off or enable vibration for app notifications.

It's disappointing that Xiaomi still faces these small problems in their updates. While not a major concern, it highlights the need to improve app compatibility and software refinement. I noticed the same issue with my S20Fe before, but the latest patches resolved it. It seems the problem might stem from insufficient optimization for Xiaomi devices or outdated OS versions.
