Issues with 4K monitors forcing borderless games into full screen.
Hi,
I'm using a 4k Samsung TV as my monitor and facing some issues while gaming. My PC struggles to handle the 4k resolution for games. I set my desktop resolution to 3840 x 2160 (Native) and usually use 1080p in fullscreen mode within games. However, some fullscreen settings don't provide true fullscreen, instead offering a borderless view that matches my desktop's 4K resolution. The main question is: can I convert a borderless fullscreen setting into true fullscreen to force the game to run at 1080p?
Hi, did u mean the in the Nvidia settings?
Yeah, I did.
The problem with Borderlesss Fullscreen was, I can't change the resolution the one in-game options, coz it will follow the resolution of my desktop.
I know the easy way for this is just to change my desktop res to 1080p, but I kinda hope there's another solution cause it's kinda not practical.
In reality, most current games include a resolution scaling feature to handle this, though beyond that there are few strong choices for making exclusive fullscreen mandatory.
Yes, but sadly some games aren't capable of doing that. And the game I currently played can't do that, so I was wondering if there's really no way to solve this other than changing my desktop resolution to 1080p before I play the game if i wanted to play it.
