Forza Horizon 5 isn't launching from the Xbox app, so I sought assistance on Reddit. A user suggested updating Gaming Services via the Microsoft Store, pointing to a cloud icon with an arrow—clicking it didn't work. There was no download option or update listed on the main page. The latest update (17 November) is stuck at 16kb of a 5.3GB file, and when I opened the game icon it said the game was offline.

Are there problems with installing additional games or is it specifically for Forza?

I’m not familiar with Windows 11, but the Microsoft Store on Windows 10 can be frustrating. I had to restart it several times before a download would complete, but it ran smoothly on another machine even before the official launch. Have you attempted a reset?

FH5 has been stable enough for me, knowing Windows Store issues can be tough to resolve. I faced problems with Microsoft Flight Simulator not updating on my old rig, so I had to uninstall it. Only after installing a new system did it work again. For Metro Exodus on Gamepass, the crash during the intro movie limited my progress. FH4 lacked in-game audio, which influenced my choice to upgrade to a Series X.

I faced problems installing FH4 on one PC and another succeeded. With FH5 I encountered issues on the other machine. Those two titles are the only ones available from the Microsoft Store, which is why I relied on them for occasional Xbox play.
