Issues reported with DualShock in two games using Steam Remote Play?
Hi
I recently purchased Shadow of Tomb Raider on Steam since it’s the only way I can play through Remote Play, and it doesn’t work with Epic’s launcher.
My Dual shock functioned perfectly during the first launch. However, after that, I had to press alt F4 because cutscenes prevented me from quitting, and I was in a rush. Now the game no longer recognizes any controller input, regardless of whether I disable, enable, or set it to default. I reinstalled Steam, cleared several configuration folders, and tried various troubleshooting steps found on the first three pages of Google search.
I’m already at one hour of playtime and haven’t even started playing the game yet just to fix this.
Later, I noticed the same problem is also affecting Marvel’s Spider-Man.
Meanwhile, Dualshock works fine in Steam menus and with many other titles—NFS, Division, Pes, Injustice, Dispatch, even Miles Morales. It’s strange since both Spider-Man games seem to share the same engine?
Also, DualShock and Dualsense function perfectly with both games on my host PC. The issue only appears when launching from my Mini PC, where DualShock becomes completely useless.
I’m really frustrated. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I’m using Windows 11… I know, I know. The Mini PC came preinstalled and I was confused.
