After roughly 14 to 16 hours of diagnosing this problem and testing it across various games, I achieved stable performance in most cases. I also reviewed logs from CapFrameX, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude (limited free version), which proved extremely useful during the process. The troubleshooting steps I took included moving the game to another drive to avoid disk issues, checking the hard drive health and ensuring it was updated, disabling certain BIOS settings like C-States, CPPC, and preferred cores, capping frame rates at different levels (especially 120 FPS for Borderlands 3), re-seating the GPU, inspecting cables, stress-testing with OCCT, running FurMark and LatencyMon, resetting the BIOS, adjusting RAM speed, reinstalling drivers, making registry changes, and using specific commands. I also lowered CPU voltage slightly, disabled hardware acceleration, and managed power settings. Overall, performance has improved significantly. Still, occasional FPS drops occur even when everything seems fine, especially during gameplay without heavy assets or NPCs. This pattern is typical for many gamers but might warrant further review if it persists.
