Issues occurring when the game pauses following a black screen flash.
My setup, purchased four years ago from CyberPowerPC, includes:
ASUS TUF X570-Plus motherboard (previously ran an outdated BIOS, which didn't resolve the issue)
Ryzen 5 3600 processor
MasterLiquid Lite liquid cooler (currently functioning well, maintaining stable temperatures)
16GB DDR4-3200 RAM (Corsair Vengeance, replaced the older 2600 chips despite ordering 3200, but the problem persists)
AMD Radeon RX 6600XT (swapped in place of a GeForce GTX 1650, yet the crash remains consistent)
600W 80+ Gold power supply unit
The graphics card doesn't generate sufficient heat to activate the fan — I've enabled "Radeon Chill" with a maximum of 60FPS. It's unlikely the issue is power-related, considering the low power draw.
I'm operating with two ultrawide 2560x1080 monitors. This setup might have been affected when the second monitor was added, though I'm not sure. The monitors are definitely beneficial for home work and music production, and using just one isn't feasible.
It only fails during gaming sessions, not under heavy CPU tasks. The crashes are limited to specific titles — mainly Art of Rally and New Star GP, plus a few Steam demos. With Dirt Rally 2.0, it would occasionally freeze, flash the screen black, and then restart, allowing me to continue playing. It doesn't encounter issues with Soulstone Survivors, Vampire Survivors, Guild Wars 2, Noita, or other games.
Event Viewer displays only Windows Error Reporting and Application Hang entries.
After testing multiple drivers and a different graphics card, replacing RAM, updating BIOS, etc., I'm still uncertain about the cause.
The brand and model of the 600w 80+gold PSU are not specified in the provided information.
Updating the XBox wireless controller's firmware appears to have resolved the issue. Check the Microsoft Store for the "XBox Accessories" app.
