I experience severe lag while playing games with my RTX 2080 overclocked. Testing with 3DMark Time Spy shows stable overclock performance, but gameplay still causes constant lag spikes. What might be happening? Or is it okay to use an overclocked GPU for gaming?

A benchmark test for an overclock shows stability but isn't a certainty. Problems can still occur in real games, sometimes even in just one. Removing or lowering the overclock often resolves the issue.
