Hello, your new setup includes a Ryzen 1700, MSI B350M Pro VHDH, 16GB Team DDR4 (4x4GB), and an EVGA GTX 1060 with 6GB VRAM. You’ve upgraded from an AMD FX 8350 and RX480 but still face issues with Windows not launching properly. Initially everything worked fine, but problems started after installing Witcher 3—blue screens appeared, especially when opening Chrome. What should you try next?

Remove the graphics drivers via DDU, focusing on the AMD ones first, then the NVIDIA ones, followed by reinstalling the NVIDIA drivers. If that doesn’t work, you likely need to reinstall Windows.

It was related to irql; the memory handling is what I recall seeing. I verified my RAM and each module individually, yet the issue persists.

It seems the IRRAML handling is correct, so the problem likely lies elsewhere. This often happens with faulty chipset drivers. A clean Windows installation might resolve it.

Irql meets or exceeds a certain threshold? Probably a driver or hardware issue such as GPU, sound card, LAN card, etc... Most likely a driver problem. I experienced this when watching a YouTube video or playing music. Initially I thought it was drivers, then hardware, and finally a faulty board. I don’t recall the exact model but it was related to the BIOS. Eventually I had to flash the BIOS multiple times before finding a compatible version.
