Issues following the switch to a new ISP
I recently installed a new fiber internet connection, but accessing the internet still requires using the Dial-Up option and manually connecting. When I switch to Dial-Up, my internet speed drops to about five times slower. Occasionally, I manage to connect automatically when I turn on my PC. I've reached out to my ISP, but they haven't found a resolution. The image shows two connections: one labeled Ethernet (unidentified) and another labeled WAN PPOE (visible due to Dial-Up connection). I've tested different DNS settings, run CMD commands, and updated drivers, yet nothing resolves the issue. Please note I'm currently using the company's modem directly without a router.
It seems typical for PPPoE to be handled like dial-up, and Windows usually doesn’t connect to dial-up by itself. No specific reason mentioned for skipping a router.
