Your family computer has multiple accounts set up, but you're concerned that they can access and delete files on the disk. To resolve this, you should restrict file permissions so only the administrator account can modify or delete files. You can do this by changing the ownership and setting appropriate security settings in your file system.

Ensure the account was set up correctly without additional privileges. Verify that no extra permissions were assigned during creation.

Navigate to Open Users and Groups, choose the Administrator role. If the non-admin account you set up exists, delete it, reboot the system, and verify.

On Windows, adjust file or folder permissions by right-clicking the item > Properties. A window appears, navigate to the Security section. You can include or exclude users and configure access rights.

This device seems unusual. Even after I stripped away the permissions, I still can’t access the folder—it keeps showing “access denied.” The person who owns the account has full rights, so something must be wrong with how the system is set up or restricted.
