Hey, this morning my PC stops getting power after weeks of startup issues. Fans would briefly activate before stopping and restarting when the power button is pressed. I shared a video of this behavior. Now I have no power at all. I've tried several fixes: changed the CMOS battery, jumped the PSU, tested power switch pins, measured pin connections, and inspected the mainboard for damage. Nothing found. Since the PSU and power switch are working, I'm unsure how to further check the mainboard. What should I do next to diagnose the problem? Specs: ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming 4/AC Ryzen 5 3600XT RTX 3070 FE, Gigabyte P750GM PSU, model VID20230704164855.mp4

I think you've already explored the "no post guide" on the forum? Otherwise, give it a shot. Or begin with the bare essentials: just CPU, one RAM stick, GPU. Skip extra fans (just the AIO pump), no storage, and don't plug in USB or audio headers.

You can look for additional signs of motherboard failure beyond the PSU and power switch. Check for unusual noises, overheating, or signs of physical damage. Also, inspect the motherboard connections and test with a known-good system if possible.

Consider testing with a familiar board or run it on a known machine. The PSU had a voluntary recall—hope yours isn’t affected. I’d recommend starting with a different PSU first.

Hi, thank you for your message. After the initial fix, things seemed to stabilize for a short period before going back to issues. I replaced the PSU with a Cooler Master model and removed the mainboard for testing. Now I’m experiencing strange behavior: when I connect the new PSU with just the CPU, RAM, and GPU, and bridge the power button pins, I hear a click and see blinking POST LEDs for CPU and DRAM for half a second. After removing the power cable from the PSU, it stops working and doesn’t heat up. This happens only once and seems to reset after a delay. Using the new PSU cables with the old setup causes the CPU and DRAM LEDs to blink even when power is connected. What might be causing this?
