After several hours of gaming, the system repeatedly crashes shortly after launching. Clearing the PC and reinstalling Windows helps for a short time, but the issue recurs. After updating GPU drivers and using DDU, I’ve noticed similar problems in Apex, Rainbow 6 Siege, and Helldivers 2. The crash occurs in Minecraft or BattleBit, not in Minecraft or BattleBit itself. My hardware includes Windows 11 64bit, MSI PRO B650-P, AMD Ryzen 7 7700x, 2x16GB RAM, GSkill Flare, EVGA RTX 3080, Samsung SSD 980 PRO, and Corsair RM850X. This is my first PC, yet I’m fairly experienced. There’s no BIOS update available at the moment.

Are you considering a fine time? Any overclocking attempts? Try turning off XMP for the RAM and see how it affects performance. Remove your 3080, use the integrated GPU, and check if the problem continues. Have you experienced a blue screen before? If yes, what error code appeared? When your game crashes, what error code do you see? No worries, that’s really wild though—NGL, I can’t play games for more than two hours max. Im impressed.

I understand the confusion here. It seems the problem arises after several hours of gaming, not immediately. The issue becomes unclear once you play for a long time. Reinstalling Windows doesn’t seem to fix the timing issue—it feels like the game’s runtime limit resets. There’s no error code or blue screen when it crashes; just the application stops working. I’ll try turning off XMP settings. Thanks for the advice!

I've noticed a discussion on a forum about problems with Zen 4 CPUs (like Ryzen 7000 series, similar to Urs) where performance drops over time. I don't recall if a fix was available. Try the advice I gave you earlier, just in case it helps.

I changed the BIOS, AMD drivers, and turned off XMP. One or a mix of these resolved the issue. Appreciate your assistance!

Activate XMP to improve performance slightly. Verify that timing and voltage settings align with the RAM sticks; if the problem continues after enabling XMP, consider increasing the DRAM voltage by around 0.050. For example, if your DRAM operates at 1.35V, raise it to approximately 1.4V. Begin with XMP enabled and confirm whether the issue remains, ensuring it wasn’t caused by XMP.
