Issue with x570 gaming plus setup
Hey there, I noticed your LAN speed is fluctuating between 100 and 10 Mbps. Since your new parts are from MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS and AMD X570, it’s possible the issue lies in the network card or driver settings. Double-check your network adapter configuration and ensure it's properly connected and recognized by Windows. If the problem persists, try updating drivers or resetting the network settings.
Have you tested a different Ethernet cable? Typically, Ethernet speed problems stem from damaged cables. Have you installed the latest LAN drivers from the manufacturer’s website?
I replaced the cables three times, but the Cat5e still doesn't download properly and no drivers are working.
Are you using the default ethernet drivers installed by Windows, or the ones available on MSI's website? If you didn't install the drivers from MSI website, maybe download them and see if that improves things - here's the driver downloads page: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/...iver&Win10 64 - click on LAN drivers and then download that zip. Inspect the connectors make sure all the 8 contacts/pins inside the connectors are parallel, not touching each other etc. Inspect both the connector on your motherboard AND the connector at the other end (your network switch or router or cable modem or whatever) For 10 mbps or 100 mbps, only 4 wires and only 4 contacts/pins (whatever you want to call them) must be present and working properly in the connectors. For 1 gbps, you need all 8. If for some reason some contacts are touching inside the connector (could happen rarely that some pins jump out their own channel and slide into another channel touching other pins shorting them out) or if for some reason the plug on the cable is damaged or some wire in the cable is not making good contact with the gold contact on the plug then your network card will downgrade the connection to 100 mbps.
