Recently I’ve been experiencing frequent freezes on my PC, not just during games but while using Windows itself and chatting on Discord. I can still hear my friends, but the system becomes unresponsive—I can’t click or perform any actions except turning everything off and restarting. My machine has the specs: GTX 1660 Ti, Ryzen 5 2400G, 16GB RAM, DDR4, Windows 10 Pro version 1803, installed on a 970 EVO Plus M.2 SSD. This issue hasn’t happened before to me, but over the past week it’s become really bothersome. I mostly notice it after closing a game, possibly because it freezes during play but doesn’t impact my gameplay. When I close the game, I realize the Windows is completely stuck. I’m unsure what to do and this is quite frustrating.

Begin with AdwCleaner, then attempt a Windows installation on an alternative drive if you have extra storage (to rule out software problems). Switch to a different graphics driver, verify RAM capacity, and ensure everything is functioning properly.

Hey there, sorry for the delayed response. I think my GPU, CPU, and RAM are all good after two months of use. Regarding the M.2 drive, I’m worried it might be overheating, though I haven’t checked the temperatures. It’s possible this is the issue, but since I’ve had the same PC without problems before, it could also be related to Windows. I hope it’s just a Windows problem, because I’d rather get a newer version than spend another $100 on a cooler M.2. I’ll try using AdwCleaner and let you know if this happens again. Cheers!

I executed the ADWCleaner tool and found no malicious activity. I performed the standard fix, restarted the PC, and will follow up if the problem recurs.
