Hey there, I've seen your taskbar on the right side where notifications appear have been acting up recently. It doesn't refresh properly after closing a notification, and it keeps repeating (especially the small triangle). I've attached some images to explain. I've tried restarting, resetting the taskbar to default, restoring notification settings, and switching to just the PC screen instead of multiple windows. So far nothing has fixed it. I noticed moving the taskbar to the sides and then back down worked temporarily, but it usually fails within about five minutes.

Have you added any new software or received recent updates? Have you attempted a restore point to revert to a previous state? You might run repair operations in the command prompt as an administrator to determine if they resolve the problem. Typically, this is the first step to consider. If no issues are detected, proceed with the next instruction. If corrupt files are identified and repaired, restart the system and observe if the error persists. When the dism operation succeeds, reboot and re-execute the sfc command to ensure no system violations remain. If dism reports errors despite fixes, further investigation may be needed. As a reminder, during dism, the progress bar may appear stalled—allow it to finish before checking for completion or issues. To confirm ongoing activity, use Task Manager to review program status.

I ran the SFC scan which found some issues, then I used DISM and it finished without errors. However, the problem persisted. I suspected the Windows Home Server Connect Launchpad might be the cause, so I attempted to uninstall it, but that didn’t help either. I also tried reinstalling the graphics drivers after they were updated, but nothing worked. After a boot, the system fills up slightly when more programs open, yet it remains unresponsive. Appreciate any assistance you can provide so far!

It seems like an app might be trying to appear in the taskbar. A simple test is to open msconfig, navigate to services, turn off the "hide all Microsoft services" option, click disable all, and then restart your computer. If this resolves the problem, it likely points to a service issue. You can then gradually re-enable services one by one until you find the culprit. If the issue persists, your operating system might be damaged and you may need to reinstall it. To reverse the changes in msconfig, repeat the process but start by enabling all services instead of disabling them.

I was optimistic about this, unsure why I didn’t attempt it earlier. In short, it didn’t work. Probably I’ll consider fixing Windows or performing a clean install. Thanks for your assistance!
