I own an old HP laptop that I customized with Windows 7 to remove all the unnecessary files from when my mom used it as a tablet for teaching. I did this because I need to run old games that only work on Windows, since I have a MacBook. The first game I downloaded is Medieval 2 Total War. When I tried to launch it, an error appeared, telling me MSVCP71.dll was missing. I checked online and saw many claims about a valid MSVCP71.dll file, but I’m cautious about scams. I’m looking for advice on how to fix this issue without the required DLL.

It seems your download might have failed. Try re-downloading the game and check if the DLL file is present. If it’s still missing, consider using a DLL finder tool to locate it. I won’t be liable for any viruses or similar issues.
