I’ve upgraded my PC about a year ago, but my OS hasn’t fully activated. I’m using Windows 10 Home N 64 bit. I’m considering getting a Windows 10 Pro OEM key and wondering if it would install automatically or if it wouldn’t work with my non-activated home version. TIA

is it a prebuilt pc? if so there is probably a Windows 7 key on a sticker on the side/back which will work for windows 10, if not you can buy a pro key for cheap on eBay and windows should automatically activate pro and upgrade your install.

I assembled the PC from scratch, and Windows 10 Home was the very first OS available there. I’m open to trying it out on eBay and acquiring the necessary keys.

It seems the setup process remains consistent across versions, with the exception of older Windows 10 editions. Using a Pro key should enable full access to all features.
