The system is configured correctly with UEFI enabled and the SSD recognized, yet during installation it fails to display the correct drive. Check the BIOS settings to confirm the correct path is selected.

When sharing a troubleshooting thread, it's standard to provide your complete system details. Please list the specifications to your daughter's build as follows:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
Include the age of the PSU along with its make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this time.
Did you recreate the installer to check for corruption?

If the motherboard or SSD lacks a driver disk, you can attempt using another SATA port on the motherboard and a different SATA cable. It’s possible it won’t be detected at all due to a faulty port or cable.

Alternatively, visit the manufacturer's website for the SSD and check if they offer a driver download.

Otherwise, search the manufacturer's site or perform a regular Google search for SSD driver information.

Check if you can install this driver for the B550M-VC WIFI motherboard to resolve the issue of being stuck in "Detecting ATA/SCSI Drivers".

What SSD?
If you have an NVME M.2 drive, install the nvme drivers at that time.
Obtain them from the Gigabyte Windows USB tool.
These drivers are general-purpose (not tied to a specific board manufacturer or chipset) and work with Windows versions 7, 8, 10, and 11.
Download the Gigabyte Windows USB tool, unzip it, locate the included nvme drivers (any or all of them), copy them onto the installation media, and load them during setup.
