It seems your TP-EXP is not functioning properly in the 1x port but works in the 16x slot. Can you try using it in the 16x port? If you have another TP-EXP, can you check the advanced settings and look for wireless options?

Confirming your question about the X1 slot availability on your Mobo. Some systems have restrictions when an M.2 is added or when using SATA 5 or 6, such as with the MSI B450 Mortar Max. I understand you mentioned no issues, but it’s unclear if you tested the card with the same or a different Mobo.

your motherboard is Z390 Aorus Pro, and yes, putting it into the same slot in the 1x works fine. However, it doesn’t function properly until you switch it to the X16 slot.
