Sorry for any grammar issues, English isn't my first language. I'm based in the Netherlands. My provider is KPN. I have a 1GB glass fiber connection at home, and it works properly on the connected computers (about 800/900 Mbps download). We also have two TVs wired to the router we own—three "superwifi" extenders on each floor. On the main floor, the wireless connection is around 180 Mbps. The first floor is about 160 Mbps (tests), second floor (where my computer is) is roughly 120 Mbps. I tried disconnecting the wires from the router and restarted the whole internet system; then wireless went back up to around 20 Mbps. Can someone assist me? For more details, feel free to ask.

It varies based on the extender design. Without a dedicated wireless channel, performance drops significantly compared to using the main router. If placed in a weaker signal area, speeds will start slower from the beginning. The speed you receive from WiFi when linked directly to the main router is typically higher.
