Sure, I aimed to improve my setup two years ago. With solid experience, the Ryzen 1500X should handle a new RTX 2060 without major issues.

It'll be mostly fine but you should overclock the CPU and tighten memory timings and OC it

Playing at 1080p on a 70Hz screen while aiming for 60fps in Half-Life: Alyx is challenging. Trying to run tough games like Tarkov adds even more strain.

I have a basic understanding of overclocking but haven’t actually tried it yet, so I’m not sure how adjusting memory timings affects performance in that way.

OC your Ryzen 5 1500X as quickly as possible without damaging it. Check the manufacturer's guidelines for safe overclock limits, then adjust gradually until you find your optimal speed.
