It will be difficult to locate brand-new motherboards for the 6th Gen Intel since manufacturing has long ceased. Choosing the 10th Gen won’t solve the same problems you face today. The 10th Gen is being phased out in favor of the 12th Gen.

Your setup's main limitation is still your older CPU. The GPU likely never reached its full potential. A fresh CPU plus RAM would ease the CPU constraint, but the RTX 2070 Super might now be the limiting factor. It’s hard to grasp exactly how "bottlenecking" works here. Your 6th Gen CPU caps at around 70 FPS. The RTX 2070 Super can reach up to 175 FPS.

Your current performance is limited to 175 FPS thanks to your GPU. The i5-12400 is a strong card, but the i5-12600 is even better. How much more does the i5-12600 improve things?
