I purchased the Sapphire Nitro+ 6700XT a few months back. It functioned perfectly for roughly a month without any issues. After about a month it began to display randomly at times while idle, sometimes during boot, occasionally just a few seconds after turning on the PC, and occasionally after hours of gaming—forcing me to restart it multiple times each time. Usually when I power on the PC, the GPU fails to boot and I have to restart 2-3 times for it to show up. The VGA LED lights up steadily or I hear a single long beep followed by two short ones signaling a GPU fault. The RGB indicators stay active but the fans cease operation whenever display goes down. I swapped out my PSU to a Seasonic 750W gold, changed the RAM, used a different DP cable and ports on the card, yet the issue persists. For what feels like ages I can't pinpoint the cause—temperatures are normal. I installed an older x330 ATI GPU as a backup and it also emitted the same beep code (1 long, 2 short) three times. Even when kept running overnight, it never affected display. I don’t have another PC to test this unit on, but I’m fairly sure it’s either the motherboard or CPU that’s at fault. “I think” is all I can say. I’ve tried every possible solution online, but nothing stabilizes, even when using Gen 1 BIOS on Windows 10 x64. My system specs include a B450 Tomahawk with the latest BIOS, an R5 1500X CPU with slight underclocking, 16GB LPDDR3-2133MHz RAM, a Seasonic 750W gold PSU, and Windows 10. Edit: Problems intensify when using UEFI BIOS; CSM mode tends to last longer. Updated October 5, 2023 by iamScrewed adding details.
