Hello, my recent upgrade to a DDR4 motherboard brought some challenges. I noticed the enhancements tab wasn't visible in the sound control panel, so I downloaded the latest drivers from Gigabyte and everything functioned smoothly after updating Windows. It turned out the driver version was outdated, which initially caused issues. After a day, it appeared again, and I refreshed the drivers successfully. However, after restarting my PC two days later, the driver update removed the issue, but the microphone still had problems, making audio playback unclear. I’m new to PCs and found this troublesome. I’ve linked a Reddit post for reference.

I noticed your interest... The system is running Windows XP 7 or Vista. Also, regarding the hardware, I can provide a list of those components.

Have you ever managed to get this resolved? I’m also using 2004, and it looks like I’m stuck in the same cycle too. The sound only functions on my speakers after installing the newest Realtek Audio Driver from their site (link provided) and restarting. It works until Windows asks me to restart again for the setup, and then everything resets with no audio.
