From experimenting briefly, the BIOS offers two primary choices for clocks/performance: RX-8120 (default) and A9-9820. The RX-8120 configuration enabled the low power mode I discussed earlier. In contrast, the A9-9820 settings run faster but generate considerably more heat overall—both the chip, its power rails, and the board are visibly warmer.

For those missing a post, it might be the power supply unit you're using. Check my original message here: Unfortunately, some of these boards are indeed dead or defective. It uses standard DDR3, not ECC DDR3. [Refer to pictures in my thread for RAM details] Also, APU graphics drivers are available on the linked thread.
