When launching games, the alphabet keys (a-z, 1-0) won’t respond at first. The unusual thing is that tab, cap lock, shift, space, and all function keys still function properly. They only work when I hold down the Ctrl key and press an alphabet key.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
When using a Windows OS setup, open Device Manager and check what your keyboard displays. Are you working with a desktop keyboard or a laptop keyboard? If it's a desktop, can you provide the make and model details? For laptops, please share the make, model, and SKU. Also, note the BIOS version for the motherboard and the operating system version.

It's a desktop system running an Intel Xeon CPU E5-2680 v2 at 2.80GHZ. The motherboard is a Hewlett-Packard J61 v03.95, installed on June 13, 2019. It has 32 GB of RAM, a 2TB hard drive and 100GB for C:/ storage. The SSD/HDD setup includes a 2TB hard drive and an additional 100GB for the C drive. The GPU is a NVIDIA Quadro K2200. Power supply information is unclear. The chassis model is z420 workstation. The operating system is Windows 10. The keyboard appears as a HID Keyboard Device.
