I attempted to upgrade my PC to 2004, but it didn’t work. I thought it might be due to having around 25GB free space, so I removed some unnecessary files and increased the available space to 40GB. After that, I tried again and it failed once more. While searching online, I noticed a new partition labeled Local Disk D appeared, which I’m not sure about but suspect is linked to the update or failed update. It took up about 26.3MB out of the total 95MB. The file system is FAT32, which I believe contributed to the issue since it’s related to the update failure. Question 1) Why can’t I complete the update? Q 2) Is this partition a result of the failed update or something else that might disappear once the 2004 version is installed? Thanks for your assistance!

The issue seems to stem from insufficient disk space or a partition issue specific to Windows system files.

What amount of unused area are you considering?

@Rxd Noted, the spec mentions different storage needs depending on architecture, and it seems the installer handles temporary files. I’d expect around 50GB available if I had that much space.

You're facing a situation where your PC is stuck on the 1909 version, despite trying an update. The update history shows repeated failures with the same error code 0xc1900101. It seems the system isn't progressing to the 2004 version, even after restarting and applying the minor update. You might want to verify if there are any hidden settings or compatibility issues preventing the upgrade.
