Issue with sudden decrease in frames during combat after patch 1.06 in Cyberpunk 2077
Hi,
did anyone else experience this problem?
played with the new patch (1.06) the first time yesterday and realized, that as soon as I enter combat (doesn't matter if quickhack, gun or detected) I experience a fps drop from the usual 50-70fps down to 5-10fps....
that way my save got kinda unplayable over night. even though savegame size is way below 8MB...
tried a new save, a fresh start, and it seems that it's not affected in the same way. so no problems in a new save...
to wait for a new patch is the best option here, I guess?
thanks for any clues in advance
Specs are important and should always be shared during troubleshooting. After an update to software on a machine, hardware behavior may change, just like with games. With a game update, your system might now face a different issue.
I’d recommend updating Windows, performing a clean install of video drivers, and verifying game files in Steam or GOG.
Do the operating system updates apply to this device after your last use?
Is the application currently operating in fullscreen rather than a windowed, borderless layout?
It might be hard to tell if a few frames are missing, but it definitely doesn’t have the low FPS. I’m wondering if something is off. I adjusted the settings to ultra just to compare. Losing around 10-15 frames could make the game look a bit smoother.
why is it important to have specs, even if i never had issues before?
windows hasn't been updated in about a year; it's still running on 1909. i plan to update it now and check for any changes... but i'm not really sure yet.
the game also always worked in fullscreen mode.

Maybe make the big mistake had tried ini file to enable AA within game. This maybe conflict with HDR mod finally get working correct. Its pretty transformative make game look very different. 3 presets think it gives more vibrant look but really amazing at nite in city lights. Does have performance loss but not nearly as bad as it was before. Thinking maybe I cause the conflict.
