Hello! I’m experiencing issues with video playback on Floatplane when watching in 4K resolution. The video often stutters and skips intermittently, which seems to be a problem on my end. I’ve attached the file for reference. My system specs are: CPU – AMD 2700X, GPU – RTX2070, RAM – 32GB @3200MHz, connected via a gigabit internet connection, using Floatplane.mp4.

Even with gigabit connectivity, a speed test remains possible. Poor internet often leads to such issues. Review the task manager to identify any performance bottlenecks. Your computer appears capable of handling 4K content smoothly!

I don’t notice any unusual activity in Task Manager. The upload isn’t behaving oddly, even though the video buffering persists. There’s still a portion of the video playing but it freezes or skips slightly—only when using 4K resolution. If you open YouTube in 4K and watch the same file, there should be no issues.

Strange, maybe a floatplane thing, is there a support email?

Experiencing the same problem. Playback functions properly for some periods but intermittently stutters. 1gb fiber connection, Speedtest.net reports 630/500 (exceeding Wi-Fi 6E). Refreshing hasn't helped. Changing to 1080p resolution seems to resolve the issue.

I know this is an old topic, but this has been happening to me as well for a while. AMD Ryzen 3800X and GTX 3080 w/ ~400mb internet. It seemed to have started happening after a video driver update, but further updates hasn't fixed it. This is despite trying both Chrome and Firefox. Is this still happening to you guys?
