Hi everyone. I've been dealing with an unusual issue for some time now and am looking for a fix. My laptop is still from about three years ago, so it's still in good condition and hasn't been exposed to any damage. Around a year after buying it, the "Left Shift" and "Right Shift" keys only responded with certain letter keys—especially uppercase ones. It's even more puzzling that the "Right Shift" key functions with letters like "W", "X", "C" and others, but not with "Z", "A", "Q" or similar. Conversely, the "Left Shift" key seems to work with "Z", "A", "Q" but not with the others. Sometimes both keys stop working completely, and they occasionally return to functioning after a reboot. Another odd point is that some keys need both shift keys pressed together to type uppercase letters. All drivers seem up to date, and I've tried installing older keyboard drivers, but that didn't help. This problem is unique to just these two shift keys. Could anyone assist me with this? Thank you. My laptop: HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec0004nk OS: Windows 10 Home Single language 64 bits CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3550H with Radeon Vega Mobile Graphics RAM: 8 GB Motherboard: 86D4 96.44 BIOS: AMI F.14, 29/3/2022

Thread already locked. We don't permit duplicate posts. If your thread isn't receiving responses, it's probably too unusual for anyone to assist. We regret this, but exceptions aren't allowed, even in such cases. You may only resubmit the thread once if it appears on the first page, and no more than twice in two days.
