Hey there.
When trying to install StarWars Jedi Survivor, my Steam keeps crashing. I can't load the game properly before it freezes, so I have to wipe 120GB of the game before opening Steam at all. I've updated all my drivers, cleared my network settings, removed the download cache, restarted my PC, but nothing seems to work. I'm freezing Steam completely when the game reaches 99%, and I've deleted app manifests in Steam/common/downloading. I'm not sure what to do next—anyone have some advice?

Initially it ran out of room because the preinstallation wasn't the complete size. However, there are 180gb available for downloading the 120gb version.

Do you possess the most recent STEAM client update? A crash during game installation might stem from an outdated client. Temporarily turn off any firewall on Windows. This appears to point more toward a network problem rather than the client itself.

Avoid using a VPN while downloading games on this version, unless you are actively employing one. If you're not, other factors could be responsible. You might also attempt a complete reinstall and update of the STEAM client.

Are any other applications or software functioning correctly on your system? Do you have crash dump files located in the Steam directory under dumps?

I don't use a VPN; it's hardwired, and my Steam freezes and shuts down during downloads. Steam did install an update last night, which might have caused issues. I'll attempt to reupdate it when I'm back home.

After updating the STEAM client and restarting it, consider performing a complete reinstallation or update of the STEAM client from the beginning.
