Issue with sporadic internet access on AM5 device
My AM5 troubles persist. After updating the BIOS and removing a problematic drive, random blue screens appeared early in the month—possibly linked to a recent Windows 11 release. Other users discuss similar problems after installing the newest updates [link provided]. The main symptom is intermittent internet drops lasting about half a second. All connected services (drive, cloud saves to Steam, etc.) stop working, and I can't fix them on their sites. Online gaming connections are unreliable, especially in AOE4—constant disconnections after reconnecting. Some websites load partially or fail entirely when clicked. Plugin loading in Canvas is erratic, with videos sometimes loading fully and others not at all. Connecting my WiFi 3D printer to send files causes strange errors that aren’t seen elsewhere. My AM4 laptop and phone function normally on the same network. I’ve reinstalled drivers, run troubleshooters, and followed Microsoft’s reset steps via command prompt, but nothing resolves the issue. Someone with networking expertise could help by logging my connection logs to track what’s happening?
I attempted to power down and leave the electricity off for a short time. Connectivity problems and the Wi-Fi chip didn’t respond any differently. My ASRock X670e Pro uses the built-in network adapter, and the Ethernet port is a Realtek Gaming 2.5GBE. The RZ616 Wi-Fi chip isn’t starting, which might be the issue. I considered this approach, though it seems unusual, but it could help. I haven’t turned off the system for more than a minute, and I wasn’t using Wi-Fi at that moment. I also noticed I couldn’t switch to Wi-Fi earlier to test if the problem was with the Ethernet connection.
I discovered an affordable NIC to test a separate Ethernet link. After setting it up and updating the driver, the system didn’t recognize any Ethernet cable being connected. It seems to be functioning via Device Manager. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08V1HG47H?psc...ct_details This situation is becoming increasingly confusing...
