Hello, I purchased a used system that was functioning properly. I upgraded it with a new SSD featuring Ryzen 1600/16 RAM, MSI A520M-PRO, and an RX570 8GB. I created a bootable USB using Windows 10 and attempted to boot from it. The system reported an error: "Your device ran into a problem." I tried disabling Secure Boot, enabling Fast Boot, using UEFI + Legacy, and testing USB 2.0/3.0 ports. The firmware on the motherboard is nearly up-to-date with what the previous owner had. Recently, I installed Windows Copy on another PC using this same drive. Could you assist?
The error might indicate a driver problem and could cause the system to crash during startup from either the USB drive or the SSD.
Check if the old SSD remains in use. If present, remove it before retrying. Once you've installed Windows on the new SSD, reconnect it afterward to access data. Verify whether USB appears first in the boot sequence. The error message IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL suggests a system resource issue. If only the USB can be accessed and it works, it may indicate a memory problem. Confirm if the RAM is overclocked.
