I've spent a long time trying to set up Manjaro KDE on my desktop. I noticed two issues: 1) USB 2.0 isn't functioning, but USB 3.0 is. 2) SATA connects partially—it detects the drives but refuses to install them. I know the drives are functional since I installed Manjaro on them on another machine. After moving the drive to my desktop, it stopped working. The desktop runs smoothly without problems. I also attempted to install Kali, but that didn't work either.

Is the installation using UEFI or legacy mode? You can verify this by launching the installer from a terminal. If the folder doesn't exist, it's legacy; if it does exist with files, it's UEFI. When running in legacy, switch to UEFI and vice versa. Also confirm the correct drive is selected for the installer.

Someone suggested turning off fastboot in Windows since you're using a second drive. It helped, but the installation of the bootloader got stuck at 93%.

Windows setup is set to older mode while your motherboard supports both UEFI and legacy systems.

Consider launching the installer through Legacy from the boot settings. If you're using dual-boot, ensure both options are set to Legacy (confirmation needed). Should the boot Options method fail, check for a BIOS update.

Consider partitioning the disk beforehand using a tool that supports it. Instead of building partitions during installation, apply them first.
