I’ve reviewed the linked article about POST errors, but I’m still facing issues. Here’s the setup I have: Intel Core i7-12700K 3.6 GHz 12-core processor, Dark Rock Pro 4, Asus TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS with Wi-Fi, ATX LGA1700 motherboard, Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB DDR4 memory, Western Digital Black SN770 1 TB M.2 NVME SSD, and an Asus GeForce RTX 3080 10GB LHR with ROG STRIX GAMING OC video card. I’ve changed RAM, slots, used a single stick, adjusted SSD ports and HDMI, swapped motherboards, monitors, PSU cables, and even bought a new CPU. Despite these changes, the system still won’t power on or show any POST errors. The board now has lights indicating problems, but nothing happens. Two friends checked it too and both thought it should work—no clear solution so far. I’m unsure if I’m missing something obvious.
Start with BIOS access if possible, verify the actual timings and voltage that XMP/DOCP detects—results aren't always perfect. Next, perform a CMOS reset to regain BIOS entry; then attempt XMP/DOCP again, but compare what it detects with the intended RAM specifications. Finally, confirm your RAM appears on the manufacturer's QVL list; if missing, stability and compatibility may be uncertain.
It seems the issue might be related to the power supply itself. You've already tested two different motherboards without success. I noticed you've tried various PSU cables—hopefully you didn't use cables other than those provided with the EVGA PSU you bought. PSU cables aren't interchangeable between brands, and sometimes even within the same brand, which could damage your hardware or motherboard.
I’m having trouble accessing the BIOS and can’t verify the version. I’ll need to snap a photo soon after finishing work today. The new motherboard has been swapped over and should arrive tomorrow.
I really value your assistance, but I’m still not seeing any lights when I power it up. The only illumination comes from the RGB LEDs on the motherboard, not the error lights. I’ve tried numerous times last night to find a way through troubleshooting, even without those warning signs, and I’m left completely confused. I worry the power supply might have damaged the board.
