I have a Samsung 860 EVO SSD that I added to my system for extra space. It appears in hardware details and the task manager but not in File Explorer or when choosing a location for saving files. The motherboard seems to be an ASRock B550 PG Velocita Ideas?

Disk management displays the status of storage devices. A brand new drive appears as unallocated space, which can then be formatted and become usable.

Also, it’s important to set up a partition first before formatting. I suggest using a GPT drive. Launch Disk Management via the Start Menu, then locate the drive and select options like Right-Click >> Create Partition.

I’ll attempt that now; work has been keeping me busy recently.
