You're experiencing an issue where the search bar disappears when you press Alt+Tab in Windows 8.1. It seems like the toolbar vanishes, leaving only the search panel visible. The only way to access it again is by opening another program or window. This can be frustrating. Could you share a screenshot or describe the steps more clearly? There might be a fix or workaround I'm missing.

Opt for the simplest solution—check settings around July 29. You might adjust it via the settings menu. What triggers the charms pop-up is likely the right-click prop on the taskbar or within the settings app.

Windows 10 bb <3, maybe I can fix this, lol. I also tried turning off the charms, but it’s still there. Not sure why it keeps happening.
