I've been playing Quest 2 for a while now without this problem. Recently, after a two-week trip abroad, the game connected through a cable and started showing screen tearing right after launching the link. It seems like another monitor is appearing over the main display, making it look smoother or delayed. I've tried restarting the Oculus service, resetting the headset, plugging in and out the cable again, and increasing my bandwidth limit. My system specs are 6700xt, 5700G, 32GB storage, and 3200MHz.

I’m sorry to hear about the screen tearing problems you’re facing with your Oculus Quest 2 after launching the link. It appears this isn’t a rare occurrence among users of that device. Several people have shared solutions such as restarting the system, reconnecting the cable, or adjusting resolution settings. You might also want to verify your graphics card drivers and update them if needed. I hope these suggestions assist you!

I own an Asus G14 with an AMD Ryzen 9 processor. Previously, I faced problems with quest and linking, which were resolved after installing the AMD driver. Simply updating the CPU drivers or removing the software didn’t work. This might help, or it might not, so I’m considering trying it.

Verify your CPU compatibility by checking if your GPU software is up to date, as version 21.7.1 is the latest supported with SteamVR.

I'll attempt to refresh my GPU driver, though I'm still on 21.7.1—the most recent one that supported streamvr.

You might consider reducing the quality to a trustworthy alternative.

Sure, I'll look for some drivers that perform well with VR.
