Issue with screen on a new PC lasting two months.
I prefer building PCs and so I opted for a prebuilt unit instead. It’s been around for about two months and has functioned well until now. This morning I powered it on and everything operated normally, but after roughly twenty minutes I was about to start a game and the screen became distorted. I suspect the issue might be with the GPU, since I’ve tested connecting it to another machine and it worked fine there, yet I’m not very familiar with tech so I wanted to seek advice without needing to replace the GPU.
Join the discussions! Follow debug instructions, check each step: switch monitors, reinsert GPU, remove and reinstall drivers via DDU, experiment with another GPU.
Also a new cable and different ports. I've experienced some monitors with specific ports failing.
Attempted HDMI and DisplayPort connections but none succeeded. Included a brief video showing the issue during startup, visible only after the login screen loads. FullSizeRender.mov
Yeah, I'd DDU. Looks like something is fucky on the software side
Reinstalled the GPU, no wires felt or came loose initially, but once it was done everything functioned normally again.
