Issue with Ryzen 5 1600 thermal management Overheating problems reported for this processor model
Hi there! Your friend recently got a second-hand CPU. At first, everything worked fine when he brought it home and installed it. However, once he powered it up, the CPU kept getting very hot—often above 80°C—until it would crash. Fortunately, the AIO cooling system was functioning properly.
Recoat the thermal paste correctly, then confirm the AIO functions properly. The CPU should be paired with a cooler—consider purchasing an affordable one from eBay, such as the Wraith Stealth, if needed.
It came with fresh thermal paste and it performed well on the previous PC. Do you know what might be causing this?
