You're facing an issue where your Asus Tuf ARGB fan isn't recognized by your motherboard's header, which is why you're using a different adapter. The same setup works for your aftermarket CPU cooler, but the fan fails to light up during boot. You need to remove the back panel and press a button on the controller or adapter to activate it. Any assistance?

It seems the issue is with the ARGB to SATA adapter, which restarts each time it powers off. Look for a model without a physical switch or consider a method to disable it without touching the button.

I believe it's not the adapter; I've replaced them both to achieve the same outcome.

It’s likely both adapters include a button for activation. Could you share the specific models you’re using so I can confirm?

Amazon.com: Compact 3‑Pin ARGB connector RF remote for fan and light control. This adapter works with both fans and LED strips, letting you change colors via a button after startup. It’s designed for PC accessories and home projects.
