Over the last month I've experienced random shutdowns of Chrome, Discord, and Rob locks without any warning. The occurrences vary in timing—sometimes after minutes, other times after hours. I've reinstalled software and drivers, checked temperatures, upgraded my CPU cooler, and looked into HWmonitor, Event Viewer, and Reliability monitor, but found nothing useful. Interestingly, Discord closes instantly when it does, which is unusual. Other demanding games run without issues even under stress, suggesting the problem is limited to those three applications. Any suggestions on what could be causing this?

Update your post with complete hardware details and operating system information. Provide the power supply specifications, including make, model, wattage, age, and condition (original, build, refurbished, used). List all connected peripherals. Specify whether the network is wired or wireless. Indicate the modem, router, or any combined device details. If available, mention the router logs for clues. Confirm who holds full administrative privileges on the router and note that assistance may be required from them.

Over the last month, I’ve faced a recurring problem where Chrome, Discord, and rblx would abruptly close without any warnings—no error messages or logs. The occurrences vary: sometimes within minutes, other times after extended periods of use.

I’ve taken several steps to troubleshoot:
- Reinstalled all impacted software
- Rolled back to NVIDIA drivers from March 2025 (the most stable versions)
- Updated BIOS and chipset drivers
- Upgraded my CPU cooler to eliminate overheating concerns
- Monitored temperatures and hardware using HWMonitor and HWiNFO (temperatures remain normal)
- Examined Event Viewer, Reliability Monitor, and Crash Logs—found nothing significant
- Conducted stress tests and gaming sessions without issues; only these three apps experienced crashes (possibly isolated incidents)
- Noticed unusual behavior: Discord restarts instantly after a crash, as if nothing happened
- Chrome occasionally displays a STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION error
- No BSODs appear, and games run smoothly under heavy load

My hypothesis is that this issue might stem from a Windows update, since the problem began right after I performed my monthly system update. Prior to that, everything functioned normally.

I’m seeking advice on possible causes—could it be related to registry corruption, software conflicts, or deeper Windows issues?

System specifications:
- OS: Windows 11 Pro (10.0.26100 Build 26100)
- Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI
- CPU: Intel Core i9-14900KF (24 cores, 32 threads)
- GPU: Gigabyte RTX 4070 SUPER Gaming OC 12GB
- RAM: 32 GB DDR5
- Storage:
- SSD: Crucial CT2000T500SSD8 – 2TB (main drive)
- HDD: Toshiba DT01ACA300 – 3TB (secondary)
- Power Supply: Rosewill CMG850 – 850W 80+ Gold, fully modular
- Peripherals:
- Keyboard: Razer Huntsman V3 Pro
- Mouse: Razer Viper V3 Pro (White)
- Headset: SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro
- Microphone: Shure MV7
- Network: Wired (Ethernet)
