Issue with RAM
Combining RAM in that way usually works or doesn't work. They often fit together sometimes and other times not so much. As long as both are present on your motherboards and compatible, you're likely to get by. This setup should mostly be resolved through BIOS adjustments. I don’t have your board manual to confirm the slot requirements, but I’d double-check the installation. A simple swap of the RAM slots can sometimes fix the issue.
I figured it out. The motherboard had 8 RAM slots, and I followed the specific sequence in the manual. Initially, I tried with my 4 modules first, then added the other 2 in the right order. That didn’t work. I removed everything, put the two new modules first, then followed the manual order for the remaining ones. That fixed it. "The quad kit should go into slots 1 and 2, while the dual kit fits in slots 3 and 4."
