I recently purchased an i3 9100f and an MSI H310, which upgraded my H110 and I3 6100. I didn’t reinstall Windows 10 and encountered performance issues in some games—about four out of twenty tested. The CPU speed fluctuates a lot, causing reduced performance or choppy gameplay even at 60 FPS. I fixed it by switching the power setting in Windows 10 from balanced to performance, forcing the CPU to run at full clock speed. I’m curious if there’s another way to address this problem. Also, today I upgraded my Windows 10 to version 1909 but it didn’t help.

If temperatures are normal, the problem might relate to driver conflicts. I don’t prefer using the same OS during motherboard changes.

Temperatures are acceptable. Those three games use less than 30% CPU. They also function well even during demanding titles such as GTA V or Witcher 3 in city mode. Are there alternative options to avoid reinstalling Windows?
