Issue with power-on failure and previous troubleshooting attempts.
So here I am, starting this new journey with my first PC. It's a custom build, and this is my first hardware problem. I've had it for over a year now, and recently moved houses, so I had to carry it by hand. When I turned it on for the first time, it made a long beep followed by three short ones. I looked it up online and thought maybe the RAM was loose. I replaced all the RAM sticks, tried different slots, even just one at a time, but nothing worked. Then I removed the CMOS battery to try clearing the BIOS—after that, the beeps stopped, but the motherboard lights changed color during boot: orange to red to green instead of staying white. I figured the RAM issue might be fixed now, since I only hear the standard "your PC is turning on" sound. But nothing shows up on either of my monitors, and the specs don't match what I expect. Nothing has been changed beyond reseating RAM and the CMOS battery.
