I've just got all the pieces for a PC I was thinking of building as a home server. I put the motherboard inside its box to verify everything functions before fitting it into the case. The problem is that when I connect the power button pins on the front panel, nothing happens. None of the fans spin for the CPU cooler, case fan, or GPU cooler. I’m sure the board is getting power since a few LEDs light up when the power supply turns on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Parts: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 ASUS PRIME B450M-A II (motherboard), 2x16GB Crucial DDR4 ECC RAM, Corsair SF750 SFX PSU, MSI GT710 (budget video card).

Yes, you're connecting them in parallel.

I also attempted to use the reset pins, but it had no effect.

Test the PSU using the "Paper clip test" as outlined in the provided guide. The fan should typically start spinning when everything is fine, but you can also connect another device with a visible indicator to confirm its status. If the PSU appears normal, proceed by removing and reinserting all components and power cables to verify proper alignment. Try running the system without the GPU first, using only one RAM stick at a time in different slots.

I ran the paper clip test and the PSU fan began spinning, indicating it’s functioning correctly. Performed the check without a GPU and got no response. A single RAM stick didn’t make any difference. I’ll attempt to reinsert everything.

It seems the component might have been affected by the CPU. When I removed the cooler, the CPU appeared stuck and had a slightly bent pin. After gently adjusting it back, it functioned properly. I’m unsure if the bending was the problem or if the pin was bent before installation. Thanks for helping identify the possible cause!
