Issue with PC shutting down while playing games
PC specifications have been confirmed.
The system has experienced occasional problems during gaming, such as random crashes, driver issues, restarts, and game freezes.
Performance varies significantly—sometimes running smoothly for days, other times crashing multiple times daily.
Popular games include New World, Apex, World of Warcraft, and CK3.
The most frequent crashes occur with New World, followed by Apex and World of Warcraft.
Issues seem to worsen when the system gets hotter, even if temperatures stay within normal ranges.
I suspect a GPU problem, but I’m unsure what else could be causing it.
An RMA has been submitted, and the device will be sent to Taiwan for further testing.
There’s a risk this claim may not be accepted due to difficulty in reproducing the issue.
Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated before tomorrow’s visit.
Random Crashes returns to desktop (most common)
Where did you obtain the installer for the operating system and games?
ASRock B760M Steel Legend
What is the BIOS version for your motherboard?
If I were you assembling this PC, I would have chosen an 850W unit from the same brand/series.
You might attempt to use DDU, eliminate all GPU drivers (Intel, Nvidia, AMD) and then reinstall manually using the newest driver from AMD's support site. Open it in an elevated command prompt, for example by right-clicking the installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
Update your post with complete hardware details and operating system information.
PSU: make, model, wattage, age.
Disk drive(s): brand, model, capacity, usage level.
Under ideas and suggestions: check Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer for error codes or warnings near the crash times.
Any references to "Adreneline"?
Updated details provided. Both PSUs were new, matching the model, brand, and supplier. A search for Adrenaline in the event viewer returned no results under System logs or applications. During a Kernel 41 error review, no reference to Adrenaline was found in the preceding events that caused restarts.
OS I received straight from Microsoft's site onto a USB drive,
Games were installed through Blizzard, Steam, etc.
I'll need to restart later to verify the Mobo BIOS version.
I've updated it twice after building the PC, so it may not be the latest yet, though it was the most recent at that time.
(Update - current version is 6.07, I haven't reached 7.05 yet).
I have removed the drivers more than once, but I haven't used DDU specifically, though I'm open to trying it.
AK500 Cooler & Correction Bracket (I didn't use it without the correction bracket because crashes only happen during high gaming while CPU usage and temperatures remain low, not under stress tests, so I didn't feel the need).
