Hello, a few months ago I upgraded my PC's CPU, motherboard and RAM. Since then, my computer has started freezing or hanging randomly when downloading big files or installing games. It’s not the usual kind of freeze—I can still move the mouse and switch between windows—but the programs just stop working. It’s really frustrating, especially when I’m playing a game while chatting on Discord with friends and they just cut out. When this happens, the CPU usage drops to zero in Task Manager and it comes back after a short delay. This never happened with my previous setup. Thanks.

So let's start with the fundamentals...
Which BIOS version are you using? The 7E27v12 and v124 versions indicate "Improved DDR5 memory compatibility".
Are your RAM modules installed in slots A2 and B2?
Have you performed an extended test (such as overnight) using Memtest86+?
Did you adjust the timing settings on the RAM?
Although the Corsair RAM isn't listed on the MSI Compatibility page, it doesn't necessarily prevent use. You might need to adjust BIOS settings, particularly if Memtest86 fails. Also keep in mind that installing RAM in A1/B1 can lead to instability, which is undesirable.
I hope you find some solutions and resolve this issue quickly.

Thank you for your answer. Your system is running 7E27v12, and everything is placed correctly. For the memtest and timing, you haven't tried these yet. Which test should you run on memtest86+ since you're not familiar with it? Also, how can you reduce your RAM timings?

Yes, the test completed successfully, which suggests the RAM is likely not the problem.

Do not use single sticks installed for extended testing—preferably at least 24 hours, ideally overnight.
Install LatencyMon, start it for a few hours, and run it in the background while doing regular tasks to check for any indications.

If you didn't reinstall Windows after swapping the motherboard, it might also be a problem.

Thanks for your response, I plan to test my sticks now. LatencyMon ran for 4 hours, here are the findings:
Should I follow LatencyMon's advice? Thanks again.

Ensure you have the newest audio driver installed, and verify your motherboard BIOS is up to date. It’s logical that audio problems are linked to high latency. Determine how you’re receiving sound—HDMI, DisplayPort, or another source? If the sound comes from the GPU, turn off the built-in audio driver in Device Manager. For motherboard-based audio, disable the GPU sound driver and check if it resolves the issue.

Check if updating is necessary for the BIOS version (7E27v141) for your mobo. The main issue isn't the audio, but the freezes you've been facing. Your GPU is connected via DP to the monitor, and you're using a USB-connected headset on your motherboard.
