Issue with PC freezing or crashing without BSOD, experiencing kernel power errors typically during moderate workloads?
It has been a while since the last update, and I managed to install some new RAM that’s now approved for the motherboard. The performance and stability of my PC remain stable, though I haven’t used these sticks for an extended period. Still, it feels like something is off—my system seems to be running slower than usual, particularly when using web browsers. Sometimes I have to refresh the page three or four times just for YouTube thumbnails to load properly.
I experienced a crash before switching RAM, where no BSOD occurred while drawing. The crash report indicated an IRQL not less than or equal to threshold, and it mentioned a typical software issue, possibly due to a driver bug. It’s possible the problem was caused by my drawing tablet malfunctioning right before the crash. I also found a bug in Event Viewer (0x0000000a) that might be related.
Additionally, I’m noticing:
- Many distributed COM warnings and errors, though others are dismissed as non-critical
- Recent Schannel 36881 errors appearing
- Persistent corruption on the C: drive (NTFS error 55)
I’m not sure if this is related to the RAM sticks themselves, but these details might help. Any advice would be appreciated.
